We are hosting some FREE Mental Health Awareness Training in the Community Training in January! South Norfolk and Broadland Councils are running training sessions to help support the mental wellbeing of our community. Details are below.
Training is open to community groups, small businesses and keen residents who care about where they live and work and understand the importance of talking about mental health and well-being.
6.00pm – 8.00pm (please arrive 10 minutes early)
Mental Health in the Community Training
The training is 2 hours long with a break, and offers basic education about stress, different mental health conditions, why people may struggle and signs you may notice when someone is having a hard time. You will also learn how you might approach someone and start a conversation. Finally, you will learn about the Council's Help Hub and other services that can offer support so you can effectively signpost.

Wellbeing Champion Training
The training is 1½ hours long with a break, and offers basic education about mental health, why people may struggle and signs you may notice when someone is having a hard time. As we embrace the start of winter, join us for an early evening retreat to set some time aside for yourself for a lovely cosy evening to relax and unwind before the start of the next week. An evening of movement, self-massage, mindfulness and sound bath!
We will start with a fiery Pilates flow, followed by soft stretchy cool down. After a short break for hot drinks and wholesome snacks, you will be guided through a mindful self-massage session. Finally, a fully immersive 1 hour sound bath with the wonderfully talented Nicky from Sound and Ground therapies.
